Monty New model 2010.

On July 29,  the new Monty Kamel XXV 25th anniversary special edition was presented at the event hall of the “Poligono el Pla” in   “Sant Feliu de Llobregat “ Barcelona.

Many people attended to the presentation among them accredited media,   Monty official riders, as well as friends and people committed to the brand and  the whole Monty team people.

The presentation was  made by the General Manager of Monty Bicycles Ot Pi who made  a review of the evolution of the brand in the World of  the BikeTrial,  underlining all the innovations made in the design of the Monty bicycles along the last past 25 years.

 Later,  it  was handed  a commemorative plaque to the 11 times World champion César Cañas, for his sport career and for his involvement with the Monty brand on the development of the  recent models of BikeTrial bikes.

And  to finish, the new Monty Kamel XXV was uncovered by the admiration of the audience.

Some explanations were reported about the  innovations of this special model with respect  to the 2009 model

Special Monty 25th anniversary series

Monty shows his new star model: The Kamel XXV, a special series to commemorate the Monty 25 anniversary

After a year of great success of the kamel models and the World Biketrial Championship to be held within weeks, Monty shows a  special model. The frame keeps the same geometry of the former one  but with some modifications which make the new Kamel XXV to be a bike even more competitive.

At first sight,  one can see the improving  design of the  upper tube and the inferior one, giving to the frame a much resistance and durability.

The fork has been one of the items most important to have in mind towards this new model, made  in 7005-T6 aluminium with the tube in one sole piece, therefore getting a fork with the highest tensile strength.

Another important item as well:  The transmission  by reducing weight considerably and keeping  the relation by fitting  a new freewheel  of 15 teeth and 6 pawls, waterproof system  in Cr-Moly and the rear cog of 10 teeth and with a lightened and reinforced chain. Everything:  Monty exclusive design.

On modifying the freewheel and the cog, some other items had to be modified as well:  The cranks and the skiplate  closer to the freewheel, getting,  in this way,  a much clearance from the ground with respect to the former models.

The rear chain tubes of the frame have also been improved with double reinforcement, following the whole bicycle design.

All these innovations + the Golden & Black decoration given to the bicycle to commemorate the Monty 25 anniversary makes this model of only 8.695 kg. to be unique for the competition.

The new Kamel XXV corresponds  to  a limited edition of only 250 units.  The bicycle is  provided  with  a plaque with the series number and the owner's name engraved, en plus,  with an  exclusive t-shirt of the Monty 25th Anniversary.
